James "Jimmy" Deffendall recognized as Rotarian of the Year!
Congratulations Jim!
Club president Pat Miller recognized Jimmy Deffendall as Rotarian of the Year.  Jim is a quiet Rotarian, doing so much that many members don't know, and not seeking any recognition for it.  Most members see Jim as Pat's Sergeant at Arms, but there is so much else he does, not just for our club but for other clubs in the district, as well as for various other community organizations and individuals in need.
Jim was extremely instrumental in bringing the club's Community Peace Park to fruition, working hours and days, quietly and alone, on many little details required to get the park ready for it's May dedication.  He has worked with the Willits Rotary club for years, helping them with various programs and projects.  He generously donates personal funds to Rotary programs and projects, as well as to at-risk individuals.  In the spirit of our club's Helping Hands program, he regularly helps a senior with large country property in the Sebastopol area with mowing and general clean-up of her property.
Jim, the club sincerely appreciates your service, your dedication, and you amazing generosity.  Congratulations!
